GUIDELINES FOR FIT INDIA QUIZ 2021

Congratulations on the above topic, to further the message of the Fit India Moment among school children and to increase its effectiveness in schools, the Fit India Quiz has been organized to involve school children from all over the country. The Fit India Quiz seeks to raise awareness among students about the centuries-old indigenous sports, the heroes of our sports of the past and the history of traditional Indian sports, while providing a national platform for students to showcase their knowledge about health and sports.
Students of all government, grant aided as well as private secondary as well as higher secondary schools can be registered in this quiz and standard 8 students of upper primary department can also participate. To register for the quiz, the school must be registered on the Fit India website. If the school is not registered, then registration for the quiz will have to be done after registering the school first. The guide for the quiz is included with this. With that in mind, all schools in your district are encouraged to participate in the quiz. 1.b

Selection of school students by conducting internal quiz for school students

* Students registered for the quiz will compete through an online platform operated by the NTA (National Testing Agency). The questions of this competition will be structured in such a way that students of Std. 9 or above can easily answer.
Provision will be made to have questions in 12 languages (English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Oriya, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi and Urdu). * For students registered before the NTA round, details such as link to join the quiz, username as well as password will be given to the school as well as the student.
* The NTA round will be 45 minutes long, with MCQ type questions. 4 marks will be provided for each correct answer and for each false answer. Mark will be reduced. (Negative marking method)
Each student will have to go through the NTA round individually. For this, a laptop or desktop equipped with Windows 7 or above is expected to have a webcam, microphone and uninterrupted internet connection with speeds of up to 1 mbps.
. Their assessment will be determined based on the score obtained by the student in the NTA round. If more than one student scores the same, the younger student will be considered ahead in merit based on age.
The student whose name appears on merit will qualify for the state level round from the schools.

When more than one student from the same school is on the merit list, the next ranked student and his school will be given a chance to advance to the next round.
The qualified school will have to nominate another student from its school as a quiz partner to form a two-member team for the state level round. In the event that more than one student from a school is on the merit list, the second-ranked student will automatically become part of the two-member team.

A well-organized digital platform for 8 to 32 teams from qualified schools
State level rounds will be organized on. Depending on the number of qualified schools, 3 to 11 rounds will be organized at this level and the state champion will be selected.
All these rounds will be conducted by a professional quiz master, which will be broadcast on social media platforms. The quiz can be done in a mixed language by combining the local language. The quiz may also include local sports questions.

The National Round includes the Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Final Round, which will be telecast on Star Sports, National Television and will be web-cast on the social media sites of the Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as Star Sports and Fit India.
Quarter finals: - 36 teams will be divided into 12 groups of 3-3. A total of 12 teams from each group and 4 runners-up from the remaining 24 teams will advance to the semi-finals.
• Semi-finals: - Divided a total of 16 teams into 4-4 groups and the winning team from each group reached the final.

* Final Round: - A quiz will be organized between the 4 teams that have reached this round which will be telecast on television. The winning team here will be declared the National Champion.

Concepts like 'phone a teacher / parent' will also be included in the state and national rounds. The quiz will also have rounds like buzzer rounds, audio-video identification rounds to make it interesting.

Fit India Quiz
The Fit India Quiz is primed to be the first-of-its-kind nation-wide quiz on fitness and sports for school children. The quiz will have representations from every State/UT in the country and will be a mix of online and broadcast rounds. The quiz format has been designed in an inclusive manner wherein school students from across the country will get an opportunity to test their fitness and sports knowledge against their peers. The quiz will be open for students from all age groups, but the questions shall be framed in a way that can be easily answered by students of class 8 and above.
Fit India Quiz, while providing a national platform to students to showcase their knowledge about fitness and sports, also endeavours to create awareness among students about India's rich sporting history, including centuries-old indigenous sports, our sporting heroes of the past and how traditional Indian lifestyle activities hold the key to a Fit Life for all.
