The meteorological department has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in various parts of the state till July 27.
Rainy weather has prevailed in the state for the last two days. Slow rains have also started in some places.
Earlier, South Gujarat also received heavy rains, but now various areas including North Gujarat and Central Gujarat are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains in the coming days.
Rainfall in some districts of North Gujarat and Central Gujarat has been low so far as compared to other areas.
Farmers are also worried as the rains have dragged on and are waiting for moderate rains.
While sowing has been done in some areas of the state, some areas still have not received sowable rains.
According to the meteorological department, the state's Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mehsana, Dahod, Mahisagar, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Bharuch, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadarnagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Girsomnath, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Rain is expected in different parts of Kutch and Diu.
