Subject: - Matter of making changes in the planning structure of unit test
Jayabharat co-stated that unit test is conducted every month in the primary schools of the state. In this regard, representations have been received from different districts to change the structure of the unit test. Please note our following representations.
(1) There was a test of mathematics in the month of July, a test of science subject is to be taken in the month of August and also a test of mathematics is to be taken in the month of September. Both subjects of Std-6 to 8 are taken by the same teacher. After checking the mistakes made by the students in the unit test, according to the study results, a total of 100 students in Std. 6 to 8 have to undergo remedial work and there are many difficulties in re-testing etc. Of the teacher
The unit test should be taken at every level as most of the time is spent in testing. (2) As the actual teaching work has started as per 90%, the teachers have to give a lot of time to run four units of the subject like mathematics and science. One issue has to be taught to 5% students today and 30% students tomorrow.
Therefore, it is not appropriate to take the test of 4 units. Evaluation time seems to be more than teaching at the present time. (2) It takes more time to test and check than to teach teachers. The unit of three subjects is to be tested in the month of September. So if a unit test of one subject is taken every month, the students can be judged well.
(2) Students also get bored of writing tests on several subjects at once. Effective tests
The number of tests to be made should be planned on the last Saturday of every month.
