In Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, BJP has won a majority for the first time in 10 years. Out of 44 seats in 11 wards of Manpa, BJP has won 41 seats, while Congress has won two and AAP one. The Gandhinagar election was considered a test for BJP state president CR Patil and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and they have passed it. The election result has caused silence in the Congress-AAP office. So there is a Diwali-like atmosphere in the BJP's Kamalam office. The victory has been celebrated in the presence of Patil and Patel.
