An important announcement has been made by the Bhupendra Patel government. The state has announced free ST bus passes for students traveling from one city or village to another. That is why all the students going to study away from home will be given free passes by the state government. The scheme to give free passes to all students will start from next semester.
Provision of free pass scheme in assembly budget
Finance Minister Kanubha Desai presented the budget in the Assembly on March 3. In this budget, the state government has provided Rs 205 crore for students. In which it is planned to give free pass to 11 lakh students of the state.
Free pass holder students will be able to travel by bus
An important decision has been taken by the state government for the students. In which the scheme of giving free pass of ST bus will be implemented by the state government to the students traveling for study from one place to another in the state. Under this scheme, about 11 lakh students of the state will be given free pass as per the requirement of ST bus express or local.
Students get free passes for girls education in the state
Emphasizing the importance of girls' education in the state, the state government has implemented a free pass scheme for the last one decade. Under which ST students can travel in ST buses for free, ST bus passes are issued.
