An important decision has now been taken by the state government so that the English foundation of Gujarat students does not remain raw. From now on, English subject will be introduced in Gujarat in Std. 1 to 3 in all mediums. The announcement was made by Education Minister Jitu Waghan.
At present English subject is taught from Std.5 in the state
But now it has become very important to have knowledge of English and the government will start teaching this subject from the very beginning so that the students of Gujarat will not be left behind in English. From the next semester, English will be taught in all mediums in Std-1 to 3 so that the foundation of English of the students will not remain raw. In which English will be taught orally in Std-1 and 2 and through text book in Std-3. Along with this students will be taught English through words and pictures.
Along with Gujarati, English subject will also be made compulsory
State Education Minister Jitu Waghan said that Gujarati subject will be compulsory but English subject will also be introduced along with it. Knowing English has become very important nowadays. It is worth mentioning that English language is required to go abroad for a job in a multinational company.
